German Army Tropical Uniform
Kasserine 1942

$415

This Afrika Korps soldier is wearing a just issued, unfaded olive green tropical uniform. The look is one of several typical configurations for the last 9 months of the North African campaign. The soldier's blouse is the M40 pattern which remained the vastly predominant style even to the end of the war. Long trousers worn with continental type brown leather ankle boots and gaiters have replaced the breeches and canvas boots. His tropical "Afrikamütze" cap has no branch color soutache on the front, which indicates the cap was manufactured after mid-1942. The shirt and tie are the standard tropical issue.
