Pike River Rendezvous - Kenosha, WI
« on: July 30, 2007, 02:53:33 PM »
The Pike River Rendezvous is one of the largest fur-trapping and trading reenactments in the area!

Historical reenactors accurately portray life in the former Northwest Territory from 1670 to 1830 using interpreters and including demonstrations of the trades and crafts of the early settlers. Food and other refreshments are available, as well as children's activities. Step back in time and experience life as it was over 200 years ago!

Directions:

From I-94, exit at Hwy. 142/S (also known as Washington Road) and go east.
Take this road to 7th Avenue, which is about 8 miles (4-way stop).
At 7th Avenue turn left (north) and go to 35th Street.
Note the bandshell on your right in Pennoyer Park.
Turn into the driveway at the bandshell.
Follow this road into Kennedy Park.
Here you will find a pick-up location for the horse and wagon to Simmons Island.
It is only a short distance to Simmons Island from here, and an easy walk for most.
