Before I discovered living history (in 1990), I thought history dry and boring- a list of names and dates to be memorized, since that's how they taught us history in grade school. Reenacting as a hobby continues to grow and to instill more interest in history in our patrons. Hands-on experience is a great way to learn about past cultures and crafts -- for patrons and reenactors alike. The goal of reenactor.Net is both to educate viewers (the public and reenactors) and to help people get in touch with groups they would like to join.Well, Marsh assigned me to the T/A he called "medieval", since I do medieval reenacting. Little did I expect that I would end up covering everything between "Ancient" and "1600-1800". There are so many medieval groups out there, I have been reading reenacting web pages til my eyes glazed over. If you find any errors or serious omissions, please let me know. I can only include about your group what I find on the web page, so if my information is lacking, either I didn't read deep enough, you neglected to include it, or I couldn't find an English version of your webpage. Big thanks to the organizations & people who listed links to many groups & made my job easier.

Brandenburg Historica--Their specialty is reference books and historical music for the reenactor. Without a doubt, if you're interested in the history of the time, Brandenburg is the place for you. I can personally attest to the quality of their stuff, having bought quite a few of their albums.
